MY STORY
Hi, my name is Barbara but my friends call me Barbie. I was born in New York City, Queens, and raised in Miami, Florida. I am of Cuban and Philippine descent, presently living a wonderful life with my husband Gus and our two amazing fur pupps, Fiffy and Teeny. At a young age, I knew I would be an interior designer. I see the world in so many beautiful colors in nature, the shapes of flowers and trees, and how incorporating that into real-time transforms spaces into a work of art. I also started meditating at around eight, and doing so, a whole new world opened for me, appreciating nature's landscape. And incorporating well-being and all the elements together, pleasing my soul. The ocean waves showed me ever-changing colors, reflecting the sky's movements and shapes while they danced with the wind.
My mother (Adelaida) introduced me to delicious healthy/exotic foods from all around the world, my grandmother (Delia) taught me about nature and the beauty of herbs and organic living, my aunt (Zoraida) showed me the skills of food art, and that we eat through our eyes. Hence, we decorate our plates to seduce our tastebuds.
